The Perished Kingdom

(unfortunately, Part 1 failed to record). Using Vaughan Roberts' book "God's Big Picture" as a guide, we are looking at "The Kingdom of God" as the main theme of the Bible - from Genesis to Revelation. Last week, we saw how Genesis 1-2 lays out the PATTERN of the Kingdom: God's People (Adam and Eve) in God's Place (Garden of Eden/Perfect Creation), under God's Rule and Blessing (perfect harmony with God, Creation, and each other). Today we move onto Genesis 3 and the PERISHED Kingdom. How an Adversary, a Rebellion, and a Judgment destroyed perfection and corrupted our relationship to God, Creation, and each other. But how Jesus crushes the Serpent's head to invite us back into relationship with our Creator.
