Having established man's universal guilt before God, Paul now shifts to those in the church at Rome who were guilty of acting as judge and jury towards their brothers and sisters. Paul uses the word "judge" and its variants 10 times in Romans 2. To find out the type of judging taking place, we need to look at Romans 14, where Paul also uses "judge" and its variants 10 times.
